Dr. Robert Lohlein, DNP, PMHNP-BC

Dr. Robert Lohlein is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and evidence-based medication management for adults. He brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to care for mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-related concerns, and acute psychological stressors.

A Path Shaped by Compassion and Understanding

Dr. Lohlein’s path to psychiatry began with a lifelong interest in human psychology and a belief that mental wellness is essential to a supported life. Growing up in a second-generation Hispanic household, he saw how cultural stigma can make it more difficult to seek help. That experience deepened his commitment to creating care environments where people can speak openly and seek support without judgment. His work is rooted in the conviction that no one should have to carry mental health concerns alone.

From Frontline Nursing to Behavioral Health

His experience as a frontline nurse during the COVID-19 pandemic reinforced his commitment to helping people through vulnerable moments in care. That perspective led him to advanced psychiatric training and practice, including specialized work in women’s serious mental health and rehabilitation. Today, he pairs clinical precision with human connection to help clients feel supported throughout their healing process.

Care That Is Clear, Collaborative, and Grounded

Dr. Lohlein combines evidence-based psychiatric care with active listening and a warm, structured presence. He takes time to understand each client’s symptoms, routines, biology, and goals before developing a treatment plan. His approach is collaborative and transparent, so clients feel informed and respected as decisions are made together. He is committed to creating a safe, stigma-free space where clients can move beyond symptom management toward sustainable well-being.

A Plan Designed Around You
